French Cooking Summer Camp

Service Description

I’m excited to host French Cooking Camp at my home for young chefs who love to learn, taste, and explore. We will cook, taste, move, and create while discovering French and Francophone cultures in French, with plenty of smiles. Who it’s for: Ages 6 to 14. All French levels welcome, from beginners to advanced. Dates and time: The camp will be offered in several sessions from May through August. Exact dates will be posted soon. Each session runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Details: Manger Autour du Monde - Eating Around the World Each day we will “travel” to a different Francophone country. Children will discover its culture, traditions, music, and stories. Together we will cook and share a dish from that country while learning simple French vocabulary connected to the theme of the day. What we will do: This camp is more than cooking, it is a cultural journey through the French-speaking world. • Explore a new country every day and connect with its culture, traditions, and people • Cook and taste authentic dishes inspired by that country • Learn French basics related to the theme through songs, games, and role play • Start mornings with art projects outdoors, speaking French with new friends • Share picnic lunches together, enjoy water play in a small pool, then relax with reading and quiet time inside • End the day with activities and a French movie to bring language and culture to life By the end of the week, children will feel like they have traveled across the Francophone world without leaving Austin. What to bring: • Parent contact info for both caregivers, one additional emergency contact, and primary care physician name and phone • Completed food, allergy, and medical restrictions form • Lunch and two snacks each day, plus a water bottle • Swimsuit, towel, and a change of clothes for sprinkler and water games, all labeled • Hat and sunscreen Safety and allergies: We take kitchen and food safety seriously. Please share any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance so we can plan appropriately. Location: Camp meets at my home in Brentwood. The address will be provided upon registration. Payment and policies: $425 per child, per week. Space is limited and sessions fill quickly. If minimum enrollment is not met, the camp may be canceled and all payments refunded.
